EU representative for Indian companies
When does an Indian company need a representative in the European Union?
An Indian exporter may need separate EU appointments for products, GDPR processing and AI systems. Each role must be held by an established EU operator that can receive documents and answer the relevant authority.
What an Indian company should prepare
- Identify separately the product, GDPR and AI representative duties that apply.
- Make each appointment in writing before the product or service reaches the EU market.
- Publish the responsible operator's required name and contact details.
