Workflow: supplier review
A supplier will usually say they comply. This flow shows which rules actually reach the service, which role the supplier holds in them, and exactly what they should be able to show, article by article.

The steps
- 1. Describe the service by what it does with your data and your users.
- 2. Establish which acts reach it, and which role the supplier holds in each.
- 3. Fetch the duties for that role, article by article.
- 4. Turn each duty into a question the supplier must answer with documents.
- 5. Store the answers with article reference, reading date and address.
Questions that usually decide it
- Who is controller and who is processor, and does the contract say so, or only the offer?
- Which sub-processors are used, and in which countries is the data processed?
- What happens to data and access on the day the contract ends?
Surfaces used
- Obligations per role, as an open machine surface and as a page.
- The article node, for the verbatim heading and the route to the official source.
- The change journal, to see whether the requirement changed since the contract was signed.
The NovaCopilot models
The decision model
In: A role, a legal act and the situation in plain words.
Out: The obligations that reach the role, the article behind them and what remains.
When: When the question is whether a requirement applies to you, and why.
The difference model
In: A checksum already used and the date of the last reading.
Out: What changed since then: checksum, reading date, passed deadline and rows to revisit.
When: When earlier work is reused and has to be checked first.
The obligation model
In: A legal act or an article, with or without a role filter.
Out: The obligation in the register's wording, the role it reaches, canonical address and reading date.
When: When the answer has to be citable article by article.
Example for an agent

- node_hash, the checksum for the next comparison
- corpus_version, the corpus version that answered
- freshness.read_at, the reading date of the row
- freshness.next_check, when a new check is reasonable
- citation.string, the finished citation
- agent.receipt, the receipt of the call, without a key

Source registers
The same material as registers, with read date and source on every row.
FAQ
- Can we use the list as a questionnaire?
- Yes, as a starting point. Every row carries article and address, so the recipient sees what the question rests on.
- Are sub-processors covered?
- The requirement sits in the act and reaches the chain. The flow shows the article; mapping the chain is your work.
- What if the supplier points to a certification?
- Compare the scope of the certification against the articles in the list. A certificate rarely replaces the whole requirement set.
Next step
Three ways to put the register to work in your own practice.
Start with your task
Litigation
Find support in a judgment
Search guiding decisions, see what became final and follow changes in the law.
In-house, deals
Map the rules in a transaction
Move from theme to act and on to the article that carries the duty.
