NovaCopilot, search laws and rules and get answers with the source
A legal source engine for organisations that live under regulation. Ask about GDPR, CSRD, NIS2, the AI Act, employment, property or EU case law, and get a short answer built from the register's own rows, with source, identifier and reading date. It works on your phone without a connection, sends nothing on, and invents nothing. It looks things up and cites them, it does not converse.
NovaCopilot reasons: a short answer of at most 75 words, built only on our register, with the source right below.

How we keep the sources current
Every row carries its own reading date. Each layer is re-read every thirty days against the publisher's own release, and a freshness score is computed from the distance in time. The number is calculated, never asserted.
Retrieval
The row is read at the publisher: SFS, Lovdata, EUR-Lex, US registers and the courts' own publications.
Check
Identifier, entry into force and address are compared with the previous reading. Any change gives the node a new date and a new fingerprint.
Publication
Reading date, next check and freshness score travel with the page, the response header and the machine files at the same time.
Under the AI Act, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689
- Deterministic lookup over a published register. No model writes the answer; no text is sampled.
- Article 50 on synthetic content is not triggered, because nothing is generated.
- Risk class: minimal. No Annex III use, no general-purpose AI model.
- Human oversight: a published deviation channel. The engine issues no legal assessment.
- Traceability: every statement carries source identity, reading date and a verifiable fingerprint.
Freshness per layer right now
Loading freshness scores …
One hundred means read today. Zero means three watch intervals without a re-read. The score measures distance to the publisher, not legal correctness.

What is NovaCopilot?
NovaCopilot is a legal source engine that runs on your phone or computer, also without a connection. Every answer is built from more than 40,000 checked rows in a register we keep ourselves, each row shows where it comes from, and the same question gives the same answer tomorrow.
About the word AGI
AGI means a system that understands, interprets and solves tasks steadily across disciplines, with logic and evidence. Within law NovaCopilot solves that part in a simpler way: it answers from sources instead of composing text, and the answer therefore holds.
- interprets and resolves questions steadily across fields
- builds the answer on logic and evidence from the source
- answers from the register instead of composing freely
A source engine, not a language model
A source engine writes no free text. It retrieves finished, checked rows from a register we maintain.
- invents nothing
- guesses nothing
- uses no outside language model
- gives the same answer every time
- builds the answer on primary sources, that is statutes, EU articles, case law and regulations
- That is why NovaCopilot is a lookup tool for lawyers, not a chat.
The app on your phone
Add the page to your home screen and it behaves like an ordinary app, also when the network is gone. For you that means:
- you can look up law and case law without coverage
- the lookup itself happens on your own device
- nothing is sent outside the EU
- nothing you ask is used to train models
- more than 40,000 rows stay close at hand
The AI Act
Because the answer consists only of locked rows with a traceable source, NovaCopilot meets the AI Act requirements on transparency, documentation and human oversight.
How the answer is built
- The question is parsed locally: keywords, identifier and article number.
- The register is searched on the device, weighting identifier and heading highest.
- The answer is assembled from the matching rows, with source and a path to the data point.
Common questions about searching laws and judgments
Short answers on how to search statutes, find judgments and see the source behind every line.
- How do I search laws with NovaCopilot?
- Write the question in plain language, for example about dismissal, data protection or procurement. NovaCopilot searches the register on your own device and shows the statutes and sections that answer it, with a link to the official text.
- Can I search judgments and case law?
- Yes. The register holds 11,000 Swedish rulings, 18,836 EU judgments and 7,793 US rulings. Search by matter, party or rule, and each judgment appears with court, date and a link to the full decision.
- How is this different from a chatbot?
- NovaCopilot invents nothing. Every line comes from a data point in the platform's own register, and you see the source it rests on. There is no generated text between you and the source.
- Which countries are covered?
- Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and the United Kingdom, plus EU law and US Supreme Court rulings. 40,398 data points in total, last updated in September 2026.
- Does search work offline?
- Yes. The register sits in the device's own storage and search runs locally. Full text is fetched once the device is online again.
- How do I find a judgment when I only recall the case number?
- Type the case number or citation straight into the field, an NJA number, a C case or a US case name. The judgment appears with court, date and a link to the decision, together with the rulings that touch the same rule.
- What is a legal act, and how do I search inside one?
- A legal act is a binding EU rule, that is a regulation, a directive or a decision. The register holds 1,798 EU articles, so you can search at article level and read the article that answers the question.
- Does searching cost anything?
- No. Searching laws, judgments and legal acts is free. The packs and machine surfaces are for those who want structured data inside their own system.

Put the source library on your home screen
Scan the code or add the page from your browser menu. It opens in its own full screen window and always reads the live registry, never a copy.
This is not an app from the App Store or Google Play
Most people are used to downloading apps from a store. NovaCopilot is added to the home screen directly from the browser: no account, no download and no updates.
- No store and no account: you do not need the App Store, Google Play or a password.
- No large download: the phone keeps only the address and a small core register.
- Always current: the app refreshes itself each time you open it, you never press Update.
- Looks like an app: its own icon on the home screen and full screen when opened.
- Easy to remove: drag the icon away and everything is gone.
